Hello BeautifulSample
You Have The Victory
As busy women, we can get so wrapped up in everyday living that we forget to pause and reflect on what Jesus Christ did for us over two thousand years ago to elevate our lives today. There are moments when life feels dark. We feel defeated and discouraged. Perhaps our dreams have died. In those moments we need to remember our victorious Jesus. Before Jesus came to earth, the people were required to work hard for every blessing from God. God’s ability to show favor to them depended on what they did first and strict obedience to the Mosaic Law was required in order to escape punishment. Jesus’ death and resurrection reversed the order and made available new life that was previously closed off to us. The finished works of Christ impact every area that touches our lives, in the natural as well as the spiritual. The last words Jesus spoke before dying on the cross apply just as much now as they did then. “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” (John 19:30). This declaration means that our healing, deliverance, prosperity, victory, joy, peace and everything else we need in life is already finished and ready for us to claim. "Finished" is the word we use after a job is done. It is a word that says we don't need to work anymore because it is done. In other words, "It is accomplished!"
The devil was defeated at the cross of Calvary and that is something he doesn't want us to know. You may be fighting addictions, struggling and playing the comparison game, playing small or not at all and you might have experienced a mental or spiritual relapse. But I came to tell you that you are victorious and God is fighting for you at this very moment. God won and you are already victorious! And when we put our faith in Jesus Christ, the stronghold of the enemy is broken. This means that when you face spiritual battles, you are not fighting "for" victory you are fighting "from it." We don't fight to get the victory. We fight because it has already been obtained. We don't need to pray, "Lord, give me victory." Rather, we should pray, "Lord, I have victory, and I will live accordingly." As Romans 8:37 tells us, "Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ." Whatever your battles and struggles are today, you have the Lord’s assurance in His word that you will rise above it all. When faced with doubt, fear, worry, or dread, look to the Word of God. Your victory is assured. Whom shall you fear? You are more than a conqueror. Many of us are facing impossible situations where we need a victory and a breakthrough in our lives. Yet, most of us sit and wait for God to make it happen and then we wonder why it is that we don’t experience breakthroughs as often or as fast as we’d like. What we need to know is that breakthrough is not something we sit around and wait for. Breakthrough is God waiting on us to respond to what He has already promised us. Breakthrough happens when we take the first step against barriers in our life. Breakthrough happens when we say that we are going to trust that God is going to supernaturally do what is impossible. God does the breakthrough, but He’s waiting for us to take that first step of faith to break through. We must believe in God’s goodness, that God has already willed the breakthrough for our life. You’re not a victim but a victor. You’re in Christ, and His victory over the world was for you. Don’t pray to overcome; don’t try to overcome. Don’t fast to overcome. You have already overcome satan, the world, and its systems: “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5: 4-5) Life is still hard with Jesus in your life, but having Him in your corner gives you an ally, and that is perfect when you’re getting hit from all sides. He’ll give you strength when you’re knocked down and peace when you’re in trouble. You can achieve victory and breakthrough when you ask God to unleash the power of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Prayer
Lord, fill me with strength, so that I may stand and walk in victory today. Let hope fill my heart so that I can rise and stand firm in your promises. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
