Spirit, Soul & Body Part 4

DAY 2 OF 5

Limitless

Reflection

What is the one thing that you know you will never be able to do? In other words, think on one limitation you have as a human being. To live without limits would imply that you can do anything. Think for a moment what it might be like to be able to do this exact thing that is a limitation to you as a person.

Introspection

Limitlessness is a strange idea to introduce here and yet, it should not be. We aren’t talking about being limitless by being able to fly like superman or pick up oil tankers with the little pinky finger. The notion of being limitless here is in context of the Lordship of Jesus and the outpouring of his Holy Spirit into our hearts who draws us to his likeness and image created within us. As we surrender to him - the lordship of Jesus in our lives - life becomes limitless because we are not bound to death. We are not helpless, we are not limited. In him, we become aligned to what is eternally true, present in hope and limitless in the arena of authorisation to reign as heirs of the King!

Your Next Step

Tally up the unseen desires of your heart and present them before Our Father in prayer. (This is not meant to be like a shopping list. It is the first step to surrendering dreams, desires and destiny to his rule and reign so that freedom from trying to achieve them becomes your everyday experience and the will of God to reign in life exchanged into our hearts.)

For every item tallied in the previous exercise, write down two things that you are thankful to God for. Thankfulness is both a posture and a weapon of advance.

Consider writing a postcard or a letter or an email to a significant person who has encouraged you or prayed for you in your past to tell them how God has brought you through life in a significant way. See this as an expression of the freedom you received in Jesus. Perhaps we don’t understand everything but in spirit, soul and body we can know the limitless power and love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

Spirit, Soul & Body Part 4

The following reading plan will take you deeper into the three concepts of Spirit, Soul, and Body at a steady pace, building on the message of Jesus' finished work. It will stretch, challenge, and grow you as his follower. Make sure to allow the Holy Spirit space to work in you and to shape you. See the impact for yourself. This is the last of four plans.
