Chosen to Be a Miracle!Sample
I See You!
When I married Simon Peter, I saw in him a good man, full of faith and love for God. Life, however, was not always easy for him. As the years went by, his faith faded, while debts and problems multiplied.
I will always remember that day when he told me about the miracle that Jesus of Nazareth had done with the great catch of fish. It was so incredible! In a moment, our financial problems disappeared. But more importantly, the man I had married was back.
There was that spark in his eyes that I hadn't seen in a long time, inspired by his renewed faith. I was so happy for him and so grateful to Adonai for restoring my husband! I had always believed that God had a plan for his life.
Now, however, I was the one who had a problem. Not only was I more lonely because of the trips Peter had to take with Jesus, but my mother had been sick for a few days, and the fever she had wouldn't leave her. She was getting worse by the day, and I didn't know what to do.
It was then that I finally saw Him. Jesus came home one day with Peter, and He said something to me that touched my heart: "I see you. You have a role to play in all of this..." How much I needed to hear those words!
Then He entered the room where my mother lay in bed, took her hand, and uttered two short words: "Leave her." The fever and illness could not withstand the power of His authority. Instantly, my mother got out of bed, completely healed, not quite understanding what had just happened (Matthew 8:14-15, NKJV). She quickly began to serve us, as she always did when we had guests visiting. The Messiah had just healed my mother!
I now know that I am not invisible to Him and that He cares for my family and me. I now know that I, too, have a purpose here on Earth.
My name is Eden, Simon Peter's wife, and I have been chosen by Jesus.
Bible references: Matthew 8:14-15
There may be times when you feel as if you are invisible to God as if everything concerning His Kingdom is far-removed from your reality. But He loves you, sees you, knows you perfectly, and has plans of blessing for your family and you. Would you like to pray with me? "Lord, help me be more aware that You are with me every day, even to the end of the age. May my family and I always serve You in all that You have prepared for us, according to your plan for our lives. In Jesus' name, amen."
