Spiritual Giftsਨਮੂਨਾ

An Expression Of Love
My parents gave me lots of gifts throughout my life, and the one I appreciated the most was singing lessons. Not only did it give me great joy to sing and learn how to sing well, but it also blessed others. I have sung solos that carried a sense of celebration at weddings and comfort at funerals. I have sung lullabies over babies and worship songs to God. My Dad loved to sit and listen to me practice. It didn’t have to be perfect but just made him happy to hear his daughter sing and know he had helped give me the gift of music.
In the same way, our heavenly Father loves to give His children gifts. He wants us to enjoy the gifts and learn how to use them well.
Spiritual gifts are intended to encourage others and build up the church. There are several diverse lists of spiritual gifts in the Bible, including hospitality, preaching, prophecy, and more. In the same way that singing is more than words to musical notes, spiritual gifts are more than tasks or responsibilities – they are a means to express God’s love.
I wonder if you have unwrapped your God-gift and learned how to use it to express God’s love to others?

About this Plan

‘Spiritual gifts’ is a term we can get really hung up on. In this plan, we’ll look at all the spiritual gifts God gives us. Gifts to serve, gifts to love others, gifts to challenge one another, and gifts that leave a legacy. Gifts God has given us can change the circumstances around us because these gifts were given to shine His light, not our own.
