Faith - You Gotta Have It Sample

A LIFE OF FAITH

We have been on a journey of faith over these past few days. Today we take some time to go back over what we have discovered about faith and continue to apply it to our lives in the days to come.

We live in challenging times. We need our faith more than ever before. When the world around us is pulling us in so many directions we need to return daily to the faithfulness of God, reminding ourselves of who He is and who we are in Him. Faith is confidence and assurance – big faith is big confidence and big assurance in God.

We need to arrest the drift and declare daily that we are His. We need to remind ourselves of the goodness of God – he is faithful to His promises and loving to all he has made. He was faithful to us, he chose us and accepted us. His plans for us are good, and his plans for us are to experience life to the full. Because of God’s faithfulness, we can have big faith.

However, we are reminded that becoming a follower of Jesus doesn’t mean the absence of trials. Trials give us the ability to respond with faith. As we embrace trials we can grow in our perseverance, our character grows, and our faith grows. Trials are an opportunity to use our faith-weapon to counterattack the arrows of the enemy. The greatest faith-weapon we have in our arsenal is the Word of God. When we speak and declare the Word of God in the midst of our trials and challenges, the atmosphere around us changes. We can shift the atmosphere with our faith.

Even Jesus faced challenges to his faith. He experienced pain and displayed emotion. His example is an example to us of how we can respond when challenges to our faith come. We can remove the obstructions and speak life.

As you read and reflect today, consider how you can grow in your faith. Consider how you can continue to embrace the confidence and assurance in the faithfulness of God, and how you can continue to believe for a miracle by speaking and declaring the word of God.
