Worship at the Well

DAY 3 OF 50

The Feast of Tabernacles - Sukkot in Hebrew - is one of the biblical feasts that occurs in the fall. Also called the feast of ingathering, Sukkot is counted as one of three pilgrimage feasts when the children of Israel were instructed to go up to Jerusalem to meet with the Lord. These appointed times were designed to draw God’s people into His presence.

Hasn’t that always been God’s desire from the beginning - to dwell among His people? Going back to the garden of Eden, God walked with Adam in the cool of the day. The tent of meeting in the book of Exodus was given as a tangible expression of God’s desire to make a home with mankind. King David sang out that God is “enthroned on the praises of His people” (Psalm 22:3) and we are “being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:22).

The Kingdom of God is made manifest on the earth through His Son - He is called Emmanuel, God with us. In the book of Revelation, John sees the culmination of this dwelling of God, a glimpse of the promise to come. “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God’” (Revelation 21:3).

The Feast of Tabernacles is an invitation to meet with God, to dwell in His presence forever. Will you accept His invitation?

About this Plan

Worship at the Well

As we journey together the next 50 days, we will experience what worshipping at the well looks like! God’s desire is for His body to be unified, with humble hearts, and authentic worship. Join us for the next 50 days as we are encouraged and equipped to re-dig the wells of worship and prepare for rain! We hope you are encouraged by this plan!
