Break TrailSample
Let's be realistic for a second. We're really busy people. Have you looked at your daily schedule? I mean, you're seriously busy - especially during the school year! School sports, clubs, youth group, driver's training, and jobs. Don't even get me started on chores and homework! Chances are your schedule is jammed packed. The thought of adding something else to your plate is enough to make you huddle in a corner! In all of our busyness, our priorities have a way to get out of whack. When this happens, we lose focus on what matters most.
Repeatedly, Jesus reminds us to make room listening to his message and to hold to his teachings. Why? Well, if we don't, we'll find ourselves lost and overwhelmed, unsure of what to do next. Following the teachings of Jesus helps us to stay grounded, rooted in deep soil. We can trust Jesus' message because it's true. How can we let it sink in? By meditating on these truths. There are plenty of audio Bible options out there if you ever feel overwhelmed reading the Bible traditionally.
What new ways can you soak in Jesus' words help to find what will best refresh your soul?

About this Plan
If you're a hiker, you know a trail-breaker is someone who walks ahead, makes a new way, and invites others to follow. That's exactly what Jesus did for us. He broke a new trail with his birth, his life, his teachings, and then with his death and resurrection. In this 30-day devotional series designed for Lent, we’ll see how Jesus showed us a new way of living and knowing God.
