But What Did God Say?

DAY 5 OF 7

Peace can be defined as being untroubled, tranquil, or content. The definition of perfect is to bring to completion; finish; to make flawless or faultless; complete or beyond practical. So, in other words, God is saying that He will keep you in a complete, flawless, faultless state of tranquility and contentment that is beyond practical behavior. There is one condition, you must keep your mind focused on Him. There are so many things competing for your attention, and it’s easy to get distracted and lose sight of what’s most important. You must always keep God at the center of your focus.  This is the way you receive and keep His perfect peace.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Your word promises to keep me in perfect peace, but only if I keep my mind stayed on You. I must admit that my mind has not been set on You. I’ve allowed the trials and tribulations of the world to become my focal point. You are not seated in Your rightful place in my heart and mind, and it has caused me much turmoil and anxiety. Today, I choose to silence the noise that competes with You. I surrender completely. I receive the gift of peace, and I place every concern at the feet of Jesus. I will not worry about the job, the house, the finances, or the medical diagnosis. I don’t have to sit and wonder how everything will work out. My job is to trust You, and Your job is to come through as do as You’ve said. I will keep my mind on You because I trust You.

In Jesus name, Amen

Think it over

If you are lacking peace in any area of your life. I would like to suggest that you bring whatever is stealing your peace before God. You can cast your cares on Him. He is waiting for you to submit your worries to Him and you will receive His peace.
