A Divine InterruptionSample
Just as we cannot control the seasons of our life, Esther was not in control of the circumstances that marked her seasons. Esther's season was unpredictable. After queen Vashti was deposed by royal decree, Esther prepared herself to meet the king. This unpredictable season in Esther's life prepared her for a royal display. Her obedience removed her out of custody and into the king's palace.
What stifles our progression most of the time is "fear of the unknown." We need instructions and paperwork to complete the process of going forth. We need a whole lesson on why God told us to go North when we were heading South. We fear social and relational chaos, financial hardship, difficulties in finding employment, the challenge of adapting. Esther was an orphan and a virgin who had to adapt to being in the custody of her custodian while having to embrace the changes of being assigned 7 maidservants who were given the task of providing her 12 months of beauty treatments to prepare her body for the king. I'm sure Esther felt in her heart that this is a bit too much, I'm only a young girl who desires for her family to be set free from captivity. I'm sure in her heart she felt that her plans for being there were altered. However, her circumstances at a young age marked her season for a royal debut. And there was no controlling what God was doing for her.
Jesus interrupted at any time. His interruptions were casual and abrupt and some were divine, causing one to move strategically into the plan that was originally predestined. One casual yet abrupt interruption was when Jesus walked into the temple in Mark 11:15. Jesus became furious of the buying and selling in the temple and he began to overturn the tables of those transacting business. He interrupted what they were doing because of the standard he had established for the House of God. Another example of a divine interruption is in the book of Genesis 12. God told Abram to get our of his country, from amongst his family (the familiar) and from his father's house he will establish him in a land that he will show him. Now, in today's time, the 21st century, that sounds rather foolish. How are we just going to up and leave everything and have no idea on where we're going. How do we know if we'll be able to survive where we're going. Abram is a true example of a man of faith. He acted according to what God said, and his obedience set him and his family up.
At any given time, we can be interrupted by God. The question is, "Is our faith aligned for the process"?

About this Plan
An unpredictable interruption in our lives is a divine plan by God. This kind of unwanted change can bring divine opportunities for you and I to grow and align ourselves with what has been mandated by God for our lives. This path is unpredictable, however it brings to light the purpose of why divine detours are necessary in guiding us into our destiny.
