Crisis ConvertedSample
Theme: Redemption
Crisis Converted Then:
The people in exile are God’s people. They belong to him. He made them into a nation. He crafted and fashioned them. No amount of water piled up before them (Exodus) or no amount of fire threatening them (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) will wipe them out. The conquering King Cyrus II will liberate God’s people and take Babylon captive in their place. God pays any price. He shouts in every direction. God rescues his own.
Crisis Converted Now:
When you join with Jesus, the true Israelite, you are grafted into God’s family. He created us and, in Jesus, he buys us back from our sins. We are doubly loved. God will go to any length to embrace us, rescue us and protect us for his glory. God’s kids are in his hands and no one can take them away. Meditate on this reality today.

About this Plan
This study from Isaiah 40-55 explores our identity as people affected by trauma but living in hope. In the exile, God’s nation had to find new life when their old life had been completely overturned and destroyed. Similarly, we now find ourselves trying to “return to normal” in the aftermath of a global pandemic. Yet, God can take any crisis and convert it for his glory and our growth.
