Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Sample
“Weary and scattered” are excellent descriptions of our current condition, wouldn’t you say? Not only us (who would call ourselves believers) but also the entire world in general, thanks to the pandemic. Our situation may seem hopeless and depressing, but that is not the perspective with which God sees it. He sees it as a field ripe for harvest. We must remember that He’s not just being positive-minded or looking at life with a “glass-half-full” view but rather, He sees the fact of the matter. He knows that when all hope is lost—when death has come—even then, there is life. Because of the Cross, we too can see the ripened harvest field. We too can work, and love, and serve, with vigor and passion and joy. We too can labor in His harvest, because the problems, the pandemic, the pain, the fear, and whatever else you may be facing, are not the end of the story. There is going to be reaping, and when the sheaves are brought in, there will definitely be a celebration! So let us rejoice, and pray for a heavenly perspective even at such a time as this.
Pray for:
• The Church to begin the work of the Lord.
• A divine perspective on our current situation.
• A deep desire to see God’s kingdom expand.
