Yesterday, we were introduced to the Samaritan woman at the well and learned that salvation comes through Jesus Christ to those who admit they are spiritually thirsty. Today, we learn a bit more about who this woman is and the life she has been living.

Those in Jewish society did not commune with Samaritans, but Jesus was not your average Jew. He often communed with people that others would not (lepers, tax collectors, and other unsavory people). Just as He communes with you and me. Just as He knew that this woman was living in sin, He too sees us for what we truly are.

If Jesus were to walk up to you, what would He know about you? Are you a woman still trapped by sin and shame, drinking of a physical well, or are you a woman walking in freedom, drinking of His living water? If not in freedom, what is your next right step?
