Little Foxes: Charisma Is Easy - Character Must Be Cultivated.

DAY 4 OF 5

I’m on a journey with my own character. When I look in the mirror, I see someone who is flawed and has a long way to go. Yet, within my imperfection, I’m committed to progressing.

So, if you are broken, incomplete, and flawed – join the club! However, don’t allow that to be the end of your narrative. When you follow Jesus, your flawed humanity is not the final chapter – the grace of God is and God loves you so much, He is committed to helping you become all you were created to be.

That’s why character matters. Along with integrity, it helps keep the little foxes out of our lives. I’ve heard it put this way: God is more interested in your character than your comfort. So, He will take you through the process to make the person.

Character is often tested in the following areas:

·  Little responsibilities.

·  Money.

·  Marriage.

·  Thought life.

I’m done allowing those pesky little foxes into my home, my mental health, and my finances. I want to commit to being a person of character! Personally, I want to be the best husband and father that God created me to be.

What about you?

Will you join me in this journey of allowing God to build your character?

Big idea:

The Christian journey is the formation of the character of Christ in our lives through grace.

It’s rarely the major external storm than it is the little destroyers we let in. It’s not the cyclonic storm that destroys the house from the outside. It’s the broken pipe that is dripping and slowly eroding the foundation from within.

I can’t promise the journey will be easy (it’s not), but I can promise it will be worth it.

Today’s Crucial Question:

Are you committed to forming the character of Christ in your life?

About this Plan

Little Foxes: Charisma Is Easy - Character Must Be Cultivated.

We often make a colossal error when it comes to what hurts us in life. We assume it is the mega-storms, the catastrophes, the major crises. Yet, what really destroys the vineyard of our lives are the little exceptions that we let into our character. Using the metaphor from Song of Solomon of little foxes, this devotional takes you on a 5-day journey to build your character and integrity.
