If you have a cake with eight slices, you can share that cake with seven other people and keep one yummy slice for yourself, right? Or you could take a knife and cut each of those slices in two and share the cake with even more people. At some point, that cake can only go so far. It’s a limited amount. If we shared it with everyone, we might have only a crumb each! 

God’s love isn’t like cake. It doesn’t run out. You can keep sharing it and sharing it and there’s still plenty to go around. God’s love is more like a never-ending river rather than a cake. You can be drenched, filled up, and overflowing in God’s love but that doesn’t mean another person will get less. You can keep sharing it and sharing it because it never runs out.

Easter is a special time where we celebrate that God showed His love for us through Christ Jesus. It’s the perfect time of year to make a special effort to spread and share the message that the Cross equals love. There will always be someone who needs to know the love of God and the good news that Jesus died and rose again for each one of us. It’s love worth sharing.
