Lord, thank you for all you have given me. Help me to focus on all I have, and ask you for all I need.
Rest is at the heart of the commandments – it links worship of the God who rests with concern for our neighbour. The final injunction is not to covet. Coveting generates mistrust and sets neighbour against neighbour. Coveting puts us right back in the anxious, market-driven society of Egypt.
For reflection: What aspect of another person’s life are you most prone to covet – their possessions, their relationships, their wellbeing, their success or achievements?

About this Plan
Sabbath rest is essential to our identity as God’s people: a gift to refresh us and equip us for good work. But many of us find it hard to do. This prayer journey will help you explore the reasons for restlessness, God’s gift of rest, and how your work – in your job, your home, or your street – can flow from that place of rest and connection with Him.
