God Speaks: EasterSample
Day One
My child, do not lose heart. From young, you sought me and my hand of protection and love have been on you. My faithfulness and loving-kindness have led you into life everlasting. My goodness and mercy have been ahead of you all your days. Sorrow may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Those who hope in me, will renew their strength. This path may seem rocky and your footing may feel unsure, but I will lead you. Here, take my hand. I’ll show you the way. Let not your heart be overwhelmed. Be not consumed by a troubled mind. Condemnation is not from me. My heart is for you and though you stumble and fall, you will rise. Look, I haven’t left you. I’m still here. Weeping may endure for a moment, but look up child, I am here, with you always. Now joy comes. In the light of my glory and grace, you shine. As you sit in the pit, right here in the midst of the miry clay, I sit with you. Don’t stay here though my child. You don’t belong in this place. You were made for the heights. Come walk with me.
Ask God: What’s keeping me from knowing you are with me?
Prayer: Help me see you today, God.

About this Plan
The idea that we can hear God speak may seem presumptuous, but throughout the Bible we see God interacting with His creation. If we quiet our racing thoughts and be still for a moment, we can hear Him. Easter is God’s most profound declaration to humanity. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, we get to hear God speak a powerful message of forgiveness and love.
