Lessons ~ Jesus Feeding the Five Thousandਨਮੂਨਾ

The Blessing Of Multiplication
We now arrive at the miracle verse of the feeding of the five thousand, the blessing of multiplication.
Jesus took the loaves. He takes what we give to Him. The lad had handed over the food that he had into the hands of Jesus. Our joy ought to be handover our all to Him, without holding back and with joy. The blessing of multiplication begins in giving ourselves to Him.
The churches in Macedonia experienced this blessing as they gave themselves to the Lord and then to the apostles (II Corinthians 8:1-5).
Jesus then gave thanks for what was given to Him. Giving of thanks is a response to the abundance that we have received from God, for we have received all things from Him (Acts 17:25, Ephesians 5:19-20).
After He had given thanks, the Lord distributed the bread and the fish to the disciples to be set before the people. With a thankful heart to God, we need to give away to meet the need of people around us. It is somewhere in between the giving of thanks and in giving away to meet the need of people that the blessing of multiplication will take place (Isaiah 58:7-8).
Thought to ponder
How often have we deprived ourselves from witnessing the blessing of multiplication because we were not thankful nor were we willing to give away to meet the need of the people?
