God Is Faithful

Hope, it has been said, is oxygen for the soul. We need to believe that someone will come through for us, that circumstances will turn out okay, that dreams really can come true, and that God has good things in store for us. 

Without hope, we don’t have anything holding us up inside. We lose heart, give up, and begin to wither away. 

God’s faithfulness is the foundation for our hope. 

Like the Old Testament prophet Jeremiah, we can look beyond our circumstances and believe in God's faithfulness. Jeremiah, seeing Jerusalem in ruins and God’s promises seemingly broken, trusted the unchanging nature of God.

When we understand how faithful and dependable God is, we can endure a lot. Health crises, financial challenges, family dysfunction, stress, loneliness, any trial of life—God’s faithfulness offers hope. His loving compassion will never, ever end. 

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

This is actually the “secret” to a life of unending joy and peace. 

·  Knowing that the all-powerful, all-loving, all-wise God will come through for us 100 percent of the time is empowering and liberating. 

·  It frees us from fear, motivates us to keep going, and enables us to envision possibilities. 

·  No matter how circumstances may seem to contradict His faithfulness, we know He will not let us down. 

Do you believe this? Christians are called not only to trust a faithful God but to declare Him to a world in need of hope. The God who is good, sovereign, holy, wise, just, loving, and faithful offers redemption from every sin, restoration of every loss, and blessing in the place of despair. He is the real God of all hope, and He will never let you down.

Having an inaccurate view of God can keep you stuck in lifelong struggles. That means taking a long look at the real God—as He longs to be seen—is a wise move! Your life will be powerfully transformed!
