DAY 2 OF 5

WITH ALL

The God who formed the universe has formed a covenant with me. The same God has overcome the curse; His grace is my reality. I have a reason to praise. I have a reason to be filled with joy. Today I will celebrate; my God has won; death is destroyed!

Could it indeed be possible that the One who knows and determines the number of stars in the sky and the grains of sand on the shore also knows the number of hairs I have on my head? Is it even fathomable that the One who created life bought mine for such a high price?

God gave His Son as a ransom, a payment, for you and me. We do not deserve this amazing love, yet the living God, in His incredible grace and love, made a way for us to be with Him forever. We can occasionally forget about this amazing love and fill our time with unimportant distractions. We forget what initially brought us to the Father—we forget the joy of salvation and the Person and reason we praise Him.

In 1 Peter 1:1, Peter addresses his teaching on Christ’s death and resurrection to exiles “scattered throughout” present-day Turkey. In verses 3–4, he reminds them of the incredible hope, joy, and inheritance that they now possess because of Christ’s sacrifice.

Although Peter’s epistle was written potentially between 60–65 AD, the inheritance that we have through Jesus Christ can be ours TODAY through faith. We no longer need to be doomed to death by our sin, and we can live eternally with our Creator. We have a reason to praise. We have a reason to celebrate!

Once we have accepted the gift of salvation, we can give praise and thanks to God. We do this not just through music, but with our life!

In 1 Peter 1:16, Peter charges believers to live in reverent fear and obedience to Christ—to be holy, as He is holy.

I will give my best praise; live my life for your Name. I will give my best praise right now.

These bridge lyrics of “With All” communicate that praise is not just loud singing and dancing; these are only actions that support one’s heart posture. Praise is the daily choice to keep our eyes on the One who has supplied us with real joy. When we do this, we can’t help but want to please Him with our lives.

Will you choose to celebrate His great and complete salvation and praise Him today?
