What Great Moms Are Made OfSample
Day 3: Knowing that you cannot rely on your own insights
When we need parenting advice, we tend to consult Google, the latest parenting blog post or Facebook support group. In fact, there is no substitute for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as you walk the journey of motherhood.
Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you through the areas where you lack understanding or feel that you fall short. Trust in Him; He knows every detail of every day in advance and will gladly share His insights and guidance to those who are willing to seek His face and listen.
I hear the Lord say, I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me! – Psalm 32:8-9 TPT
Make time to be still in His presence to receive all you need for the day ahead. Invite the Holy Spirit to speak and be continually mindful of Him as you go about your day. Being attentive to listen amidst the daily demands and distractions. He will direct your footsteps and remove (or help you overcome) any obstacles that may block your way.
The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm. – Exodus 14:14 AMP
Prayer: Lord, even though I do not always understand my circumstances, I trust You to guide me as I commit my day to You. Amen.

About this Plan
This seven-day reading plan is a result of a personal prayer request: “Lord, please make me a great mother.” As mothers, we realise the weightiness of the responsibility to create a Godly home and raise Godly children. As you journey with me through this reading plan, I will gladly share how God lead me to understand some elements of WHAT GREAT MOMS ARE MADE OF.
