Peter was one of Jesus' best friends. He spent every day for three years with him. Even Peter, when put on the spot, denied knowing Jesus. People flat out asked him - aren’t you one of Jesus’ friends? And he said, “I don’t know who you’re talking about.”
Now, for Peter, the stakes were high. His best friend was getting ready to be executed. If people found out he was friends with Jesus, would he be next?
For us, telling others that we follow Jesus probably isn’t a life or death situation, but it’s still risky. People might make fun of us, ask us questions we don’t know the answers to, call us stupid for believing in Jesus, or even decide to not be friends with us.
Sharing our faith or talking about Jesus with others can be intimidating.
But, this is no way to live. Keeping our faith to ourselves because we’re afraid or intimidated by it is selfish. This is only thinking about you. As followers of Jesus, we are to put others first. We are to be concerned and care for the well-being of those around us; of our friends, family, team-mates.
If you truly care about these people, you will push past the fear. You will be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and have that conversation. You know what a relationship with Jesus is like. Don’t you want others to experience that?
Who is one person you need to share Jesus with this week?

About this Plan
As followers of Jesus, one of the best things we can do is look at Jesus’ life and learn from him. Join us as we look at one of the biographies of Jesus - the Gospel of Mark. Each day has a suggested reading, but don't let that stop you from reading the entire chapter!
