DAY 1 OF 12

Faithful

2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful. He will give you strength and protect you from the evil one.

Adam and Eve had a great-great-great-great-grandson named Enoch. Enoch lived for 365 years and walked faithfully with God for his whole life (Genesis 5:24). Just like you walk with your best friend, walking with God means you focus on Him and talk to Him frequently. That way, you will be able to understand what God likes and dislikes. You will know God’s heart.

Enoch had a son. His name was Methuselah. Methuselah was the longest livIn person on earth. He lived for 969 years (Genesis 5:27). This demonstrates that God faithfully took care of Methuselah for 969 years so that he lacked nothing.

We can learn an important lesson from Enoch and Methuselah. We should live like Enoch who walked faithfully with God as his best friend. Moreover, seeing that God had perfectly taken care of Methuselah for 969 years, you can certainly have confidence that God will take care of you in your whole life.

Keep walking faithfully with God because He faithfully takes care of you.

Prayer

Dear God, I want to walk with You faithfully and I am assured that You will take care of me and that I will lack nothing. Amen.
