Praying Through Psalms of Praise with Hillsong CreativeSample

Praying Through Psalms of Praise with Hillsong Creative

DAY 7 OF 7

After you have completed today’s reading from the Bible, we encourage you to set aside a moment to listen along to the audio guide provided as we pray and allow God to speak to us through His word.

The final statement of the Psalms, Psalm 150:6 says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

This Psalm paints the picture of an orchestra. We see both instruments and dance. Each part on its own is not particularly spectacular but when joined together under the guidance of the Composer what’s produced is beautiful.

Think of someone now that you can call today to join in praise together. Maybe it will just be a brief conversation but your praise joined with their praise can become an incredible offering. Make a note of who that is and when you can call them, perhaps as soon as this time of prayer is done.

Before you call that person, think now about who God is (His greatness) and what He has done, (His power).

Think about ways that you might see His faithfulness daily, maybe sometimes without noticing. Could this be the intricacies of a bird that by God’s perfect design can eat, drink, and fly far above the ground? Or is it the Artist’s paintbrush splashing colour across the twilight sky? Where do you see His faithfulness?

What prayers have you prayed that God, in His mercy, has answered? In what ways has He shown His goodness to you? You may want to make note of these things so that you can share them with the person you talk to later.

Thank God that He has created you to praise. Decide now that you will take your place amongst everything with breath to praise the Lord.
