Glory To God! Virtuous Women
We will now consider different types of women from the anti-values ones.
The Gentle Mom: Paul talks about this virtue. He says we should be as kind as a mother who tenderly raises her children. That is an example of gentleness. Paul was good at giving accurate examples. He used the example of a mother with divine principles, who raises, takes care, nurtures, teaches, and builds up her own children with tenderness. Gentleness is an important part of a virtuous woman who has been through a process of transformation and growth with the Holy Spirit—a woman who does not let her soul control her, but lets the Holy Spirit guide her. She expresses gentleness, which is a fruit of the Spirit. It is a quality of the life of Christ in her. It may not be what her parents taught her, or part of her character, but it is the result of understanding the outcome of the new life and new creation of Christ in her.
The Mature Mom: She is the woman who grows, evolves, and matures. This mom loves her children, and her love can be so strong that she can make big sacrifices in her life for their benefit. An example of this type of woman in the Bible is Hannah, Samuel’s mother. Can you imagine how hard it was for her, as a mother, to leave her only child at the temple and only see him once a year? She did this because she knew her son had a divine purpose, and her love for him was not going to stop God’s work in his life.
A selfish love says, “I want my son by my side, cuddling with me.” A mature woman has the ability to love so deeply that she understands and enables her children to fulfill God’s purpose in their lives, even if it is not what she feels in her soul. She brings good, not harm. She knows she needs to make tough decisions even when they hurt. Mature women correct their children; they understand they need to do it because it is a divine principle, and they do not put her feelings or personal choices first. They understand it is necessary to do whatever they have to do to produce what God wants to produce.
