YOU ARE ENOUGHSample
We live in an age where everyone is trying to be impressive. Instagram is populated with so-called influencers’ fake attachments to products in an effort to persuade customers towards a purchase. Facebook can feel like a contest to see who can present the most idyllic picture of family life. And don’t even get me started on Pinterest and its unattainable levels of craftiness! Comparison really is the thief of joy.
In the midst of all this , God asks us to be authentic – loving, peaceable, thankful, gracious and honest. We are not meant to be in competition, but spurring one another on. And doing it all for an audience of just one – Jesus. You are chosen, saved and he is changing you to be more like him. You are enough.
Over the past 14 days, I have loved sharing these passages with you. I hope that you’ve enjoyed exploring your intrinsic value to God.
How does comparison rob Christians of joy?
What practices can you put in place to be authentic in the way you live out your faith?
Prayer: Father, thank you that you love me perfectly despite my imperfections. In response, my redemption through Jesus takes away any impulse for envy or boasting, and replaces it with a desire to serve you alone. Amen.

It’s too easy to let these pull you down and suck the joy out of your day. But what does the Bible say about your value? This devotion series will offer you a daily reminder of your worth and value in Christ.
