Great Adventurers (Week 5)Sample

Great Adventurers (Week 5)

DAY 4 OF 7

Day Four - A Willing Heart

Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.

The angel told Mary all that God had planned for her and let her know that All things are possible with God!

READ:

'An Angel Visits Mary' in the Beginners Bible (pages 266 - 270) or Luke 1:26-38

When Mary asked “How can this be, I am not married?”  the angel told Mary that “with God all things are possible”.

There are many things that God can do that are so wonderful that we can struggle to understand.

God has given us faith to help us!

The Lord said, “If your faith is as big as a mustard seed, then you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Dig yourself up and plant yourself in the sea!’ And the tree will obey you. (Luke 17:6 ICB)

We can have faith as big as a mustard seed, which is very, very small, and still believe that God can do all that He says He can do.

For Mary, this meant having faith enough to believe that with God all things are possible!

ASK:

Can you think of some of the things about God that are so wonderful you struggle to understand them?

Chat to your grownup about these things and then make something that will help you remember how wonderful God is.

REMEMBER:

‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26)

SAY:

I’m an adventurer,

I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord,

I will follow wherever you lead.

I won’t stop, I’ve been set free.

In Jesus name, Amen!

About this Plan

Great Adventurers (Week 5)

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Mary and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
