Praying Through Ephesians with Hillsong CreativeSample
After you have completed today’s reading from the Bible, we encourage you to set aside a moment to listen along to the guide provided as we pray and allow God to speak to us through His word.
Ephesians 6:13 says, “Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
We are all in a spiritual battle. This is why Paul uses the imagery of armour to encourage the recipients of his letter. God doesn’t leave us in this battle ill-equipped. What battles might you be facing today? How has God equipped you to overcome those battles?
What is your position in the spiritual battles you face today? Are you advancing? Or might you be retreating? Talk to God about that.
In what ways do you need to stand your ground today? Perhaps it’s in your thinking, in anxiety or fear. Or perhaps you’re facing a specific challenge in a relationship or in your workplace. Do those challenges cause you to be afraid? Talk to God about what you’re facing. Thank Him for giving you strength to stand firm.
Armour provides safety and protection as well as being tools to overcome the enemy. Thank God that truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and God’s word are your protection and your weapons for the battles you face today.
Thank You, God, that You give us the strength we need to fight any battles we face. What an encouragement to know that You have fully equipped us for victory! In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

About this Plan
Join the creative community of Hillsong Church as we read and pray through the book of Ephesians. Paul wrote Ephesians as a letter of encouragement to the church in Ephesus and those in the surrounding region. Rather than addressing specific problems within the church, Ephesians stands alone as a message of unity for all believers: unity of Heaven and earth, unity of humanity, and unity of relationships.
