What is the Word of God?
The Word of God is the Bible. God inspired people to write the books of the Old and New Testaments. The Bible is the trustworthy and authoritative rule for what we believe and do.
Wouldn’t it be nice to know the deep secrets of the universe; to know what it’s all about and why we’re here; to know God; to know ourselves? That is exactly what the Bible promises to teach us: that we will not only come to know God and the purpose of the universe but also that we will come to know ourselves.
But is the Bible trustworthy? Wasn’t it written a long time ago, by many people, in many places, and across a long span of time? What could they possibly know about the world; about us? Haven’t we moved on? Haven’t we advanced? Aren’t we smarter now?
No matter how many sneers and smears have been directed at the Bible, it has stood the test of time. The Bible has been saving, restoring, guiding, and enlightening the lives of billions of people across the entire world for thousands of years. And it can do the same for you and for your world.
What’s the Bible about?
At its core, it’s all about Jesus. God the Father inspired the Bible by the Holy Spirit in order to teach us about his Son, Jesus.
Pray that God would open up his Word to you today.
