The Struggle Is Real But NOT PermanentSample

The Struggle Is Real But NOT Permanent

DAY 3 OF 3

Admit it, Beloved, your life hasn’t worked out according to your plans—not even close. Right?

Last month didn’t even work out the way you would have liked it to. It was probably okay. But not perfectly the way you planned it out in your mind.

It’s probably really good that you aren’t the Author of your life. God is. He knows the plans He has for you, even the struggle-packed details of your story. There’s beautiful, golden threads of His glory working out for your good and for His glory.

Every situation...every location…every relationship…has a purpose, and you’re not facing it in vain. God has sufficient grace for whatever you face.

Today, you must be confident that your SAVIOR is greater than your struggle.

Discouragement focuses more on the broken places than the restoring power and hope found in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What hurts your heart, captures your mind, and dominates the deep desires hidden within the depths of your soul?

What do you meditate on in private or public hours of the day?

What is in the driver’s seat of your thoughts?

Whatever consumes your thoughts will shape the way you view yourself, others, life, and, most importantly, Jesus.

That same view of those things shapes the choices you make and the actions you take.

Never allow your mind to be robbed by:

– The disloyalty of a loved one.

– The sudden decrease in finances.

– The diagnosis you never saw coming.

– The disappointment between your friendships.

– The disagreement with a coworker.

– The divide of a church family.

– The denial of a parent.

– The divorce from the past.

– The daily hardships of life in this fallen world.

It’s amazing how Paul gently explains to us what we can do through our struggle. He said we forget what is behind, and we strain forward to what lies ahead (Philippians 3:13).

God’s plans for you are good even when life isn’t (Jeremiah 29:11).

He is your PROVIDER, your REDEEMER, and, most importantly, your SAVIOR.

ALWAYS REMEMBER: YOUR SAVIOR WILL ALWAYS BE GREATER THAN YOUR

STRUGGLE.

Things might be hard right now.

Your mind might feel like a prison that you can’t seem to escape.

Your work might seem monotonous and purposeless.

Your relationship might seem broken.

Your parents might be absent.

You might be going through the hardest point in your life right now.

But through it all, trust in this:

GOD ACKNOWLEDGES THAT YOUR STRUGGLE IS REAL, BUT HE GUARANTEES THAT IT’S NOT PERMANENT.

At the end of the day, that battle has already been won (John 3:16).

But it’s your decision, are you going to focus on your Savior? Or your struggle?

Thank you so much for sharing these three days with me. I hope that God touched you in ways that will change your path forever. – Rashawn Copeland

For each struggle in life there comes a point where you start to face it.

Some struggles are easy to get past, some linger like the fog.

But no matter the struggle there is only where way to conquer it,

To START WHERE YOU ARE.

The reality is, your struggles will remain your struggles until you start taking incremental steps to move forward.

And that is why I wrote my upcoming book START WHERE YOU ARE.

So if you’re interested in moving forward from the pain of your past, this book is for you.

I can’t wait to see God take you from where you are, to where He wants you to be!

Day 2

About this Plan

The Struggle Is Real But NOT Permanent

Each day we are faced with situations that are less than ideal. We endure struggles in our marriage, friendships, and jobs. Struggles are a part of life, but they don’t have to define it. In this 3-day devotional, I hope that God speaks to you in your struggle and reminds you that He is your deliverer and redeemer. Enjoy!
