Faith in ‘Complex Times’
Let me highlight three things from this passage:
1. The armies of Israel, Judah, and Edom were to face Moab in war
2. But they were stranded in the desert without water.
3. Here, Jehoshaphat seeks God’s word.
Then Elisha says in 2 Kings 3:17 & 18,
For this is what the Lord says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord; he will also deliver Moab into your hands.
Try imagining this with me:
They’re heading to war and now have no water to drink and here God’s makes a strange promise – that there will be no sign of wind or rain but that the valleys will be filled with water.
In your complex times, don’t think about how things will result, but fix your eyes on the One who can do the impossible! God gives you the ability to do all He asks. He prepares you to receive the blessing and when you do that, He will give you more than you ask or expect. That’s an added blessing!
Take away:
Wait upon Him in complex times.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You will make a way for me. Things seem impossible for me but all things are possible for You. Love You Lord, In Jesus’ name, Amen
