Finding Peace In Uncertain Timesਨਮੂਨਾ

Reminder 3: Remember God's "nearness."
These are my four favorite words in this passage: The Lord is near.
That’s the reminder I need. That's the reminder you need.
In the midst of the uncertainty, remember this: the Lord is near.
He knows. He sees. He’s not surprised. And He’s bigger than the uncertainty. He is not overwhelmed or anxious.
Have you ever seen a young child who is nervous or frightened? What’s the first thing they do? They grab the leg or hand of a parent or other trusted adult. The nearness of someone they trust – who is significantly more powerful – calms their fears.
We have a God who is powerful. And He’s near. Very near.
Today's Prayer
Ever-present God. Thank you for your nearness. I don't always feel it or recognize it, but today I proclaim it and believe it. Today, help me keep my eyes and ears open for your presence, your voice, your moving, and your power. And may I speak and serve those around me in a way that enables them to sense your nearness as well. Amen.
The Reminders So Far...
