R.O.B. FearSample
I R.O.B. fear of its power when I trust God instead of worrying.
Does worry ever make you feel sick because you just don’t know what will happen? Does worry ever make you work too hard because you’re afraid you won’t do a good job? Does worry ever make you feel grumpy, keep you from falling asleep, or just make you feel stressed out?
Sometimes, worry makes us feel all kinds of terrible things! That’s what it does: it makes us feel bad so we don’t feel the peace God gives us when we follow Jesus. But God’s truth is way stronger than worry. 1 Peter 5:7 says that God cares about us … and we can give every single worry to Him!
Don’t hang on to worry until it makes you feel horrible! R.O.B. worry of its power by giving it to God through prayer!
Talk it over: Yesterday, you fought worry. Did the same worry bother you today? If it did, R.O.B. it of its power again! If it didn’t, R.O.B. a different worry of its power. R—remember God’s truth from 1 Peter 5:7, O—open your mouth and say it out loud, and B—battle it out by giving the worry to God because He cares about you!
