Forgiveness from Our Savior

It was our sin that nailed Jesus to the cross. Our sin that pierced the precious body of Jesus. And it was His longing to be with the ones whose horrid pride, anger, lust, greed, and envy would need cleansing.

What love is this? A love so powerful it would redeem the world. This demonstration of forgiveness that has absolutely no limitation. Love so pure that it cried out with each blow for the very ones who beat Him. For you. For me. Love so perfect in vision that it saw the faces of those who would need a Savior, thousands of years later. So holy, it declared our forgiveness before we were ever born.

All our sin is forgiven and our shame covered because Jesus loved us enough to die for us, the ones who were enemies of Him.

Jesus, thank you for taking my sin on that cross with you. For forgiving me, even before I did anything wrong. For not forsaking me, though you knew all the ways I’d mess up. For loving me even when I caused you pain. I am overwhelmed by your great love.
