Love God Greatly: RisenSample

Love God Greatly: Risen

DAY 31 OF 40

Before the resurrection, the distinction between Jews and Gentiles was significant. The Jews were God’s chosen people, direct descendants from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In the first century, Jews and Gentiles were drastically different, living with different customs, beliefs, and cultures.

The resurrection changed all of this. In Christ, a person’s nationality no longer matters. In Christ, a person’s family origin has no significance. All are one in Christ. Jews and Gentiles can be united because Christ has died for all. His work of redemption is for all people, not just the Jews.

True unity comes through Christ alone. As we grow in our relationships with Him we also grow in unity with one another. We are united to all believers through one body of Christ, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God.

Dear God, thank You for the unity I can have with other believers through Your Spirit. Thank You for providing a way for us to all be united and one in You. Help us to live in unity and encouragement for one another as we seek to glorify You. Amen.
