Alive: Created to create

Framed in my bedroom there is a precious picture. It’s a drawing of my husband and me done by our daughter when she was a toddler. In her babyish hand, when she could barely hold a pencil, somehow she captured so much of what we were like. My husband’s moustache and glasses, and my spiky hair and love of striped sweaters leap from the frame.

And the truth is, our creator God made us to create. And I thank God He has invested all people around the world with His creativity and the joy of being co-creators with Him. With so much beauty in our world, there is much to inspire us.

Prayer:

Lord God,

We thank You for our beautiful world, expressed in art and design. We pray for all those who work in creative industries, may Your blessed Spirit always be their inspiration.

Amen.
