Intimacy with GodSample

You can have as much of God as you want. This statement does not mean a finite human being can ever comprehend God or exhaust the depths of his love, but it does mean there is no limit to the extent that we may grow in our understanding and love for Him.

Through scripture, we are reminded as the people of God that we are loved and to declare the astounding message that God gives us the ability to love Him back. In fact, that is why we were created. Our primary purpose in this world is to love and worship God.

Life, unfortunately, has a way of distracting us from this truth. Like a con-artist distracts his or her victim with a street performance while their accomplice pickpockets, we are amused by the distractions of life while we are being deceived to what is actually happening.

Life will seek to divert your attention, but dedicating time, energy, and resources will help cultivate an intimate relationship with God. Men and women who desire to have this intimate relationship with God will make it their first priority; they will want to have as much of God as they can get.
