Share Christ at WorkSample
Be a Confident Witness
Once you have built relationships, demonstrated your faith through obedience to God’s commands, and have an answer as to why your faith is so strong, you are ready for the next step – to confidently share your faith. Remember that God is with you. John tells us that the Holy Spirit in us will give us the words to speak as we pray for God to speak through us. Staying connected to God through prayer is critical to keep you from making it about how you look so you make it all about Jesus and the good of the other person.
You are God’s coworker carrying out His will. Take direction from Him as you discern when God is opening a door for you to share. It may be when your coworker opens up about a personal or work challenge. She may come right out and ask how you stay so positive, or what’s different about you. When the time comes, you simply need to share a personal experience and give credit where credit is due – to the Lord. No preaching required.
Consider the blind man who was healed by Jesus. When asked about it, the man stated very simply, “One thing I know. I was blind but now I see.” It’s a simple, yet powerful testimony to what the Lord did for him. Sharing openly and vulnerably about your difficulties and what the Lord did for you in your own words is the most powerful way to share your faith with others.
Sharing your faith is not limited to those who don’t know Jesus. It can include bolstering the faith of others. You can:
· Encourage others with God’s Word through cards, text or email.
· Offer to pray with others on the spot.
· Start a workplace Bible study.
Pray about it and trust God to give you the strength, courage and wisdom, and to prepare the hearts of those whom He puts in your path. Then watch Him perform miracles.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for all You have done for me. Give me opportunities to share my God stories with others and the wisdom to share in a way that is meaningful to each person. Give me the courage to share my faith with confidence so that You can reach more people through me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
