Day 6 

He hears you.

Have you ever been on the phone talking to someone and then suddenly realized the call got dropped and they’re not listening? Or have you ever been telling someone a story and midway through, they answered a phone call or started talking to someone else? Ouch. That hurts.

Our God is not like that. Even though we can’t see Him or touch Him, and sometimes it might feel like He is not listening, He hears us. 

His Word promises that when we pray to Him, He’s listening. In fact, Romans 8 even says that when we aren’t even sure what words to pray or how to pray, the Holy Spirit who lives in us knows what we need to pray, and He prays on our behalf. Often, we think God’s not listening because we might not get the answer we want or in the timing we want, but that doesn’t mean He’s not listening.

He’s listening. He hears you. He is answering—maybe in a way that’s different from what you had hoped for, and maybe in a timeframe that isn’t ideal to you, but He is answering. Be patient, and keep speaking your heart to Him, because He hears you.
