Every Word, a Reader's 90-Day Guide to the Bibleਨਮੂਨਾ

- God’s promises all find their fulfillment in Jesus! In the opening verses, Matthew connects Jesus to two great covenants of the Old Testament, showing that Jesus is the son of Abraham and the son of David.
- Matthew presents Jesus as a king. He is writing to a Jewish audience who eagerly anticipated the Messiah (meaning “anointed one,” also translated as Christ). Note all the “kingdom” language.
- In chapters 5–7, Jesus teaches the way of His kingdom. Consider the values of the kingdom and the implications for those who would be part of it.
