We Are Clay.

“But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” Isaiah‬ ‭64:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Work” is, ‘ma`aseh’ (H4639) which means, “Deed, produce, achievement, work of God, work of deliverance.” You are His Handiwork. You are His Workmanship. You are a Product of His Hands. You are His achievement. You are a work of deliverance. He has delivered you mightily through His Hands. We are His clay. We are His creation submitted to His Honor, Power, Glory, Strength and Might. He is our Father.

We are dust submitted to Grace. It is in His Hands that we are glorified. It is only in His Hands that we are patterned after His Image and His Likeness. We are His Work and we are carefully crafted and formed by His Hands. Surrender your gifts to the Potter. Surrender to the One who crafted you with Purpose in mind. 

Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, He knew you and handcrafted every part of you. Surrender every part of your life to the Father — the Potter of all creation. “Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter, and we all are the work of Your hand.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:8‬ ‭AMPC

Prayer: 

From the dust of the ground You formed us. With Your hands, You’ve crafted us. With Your Word, You’ve led us. With Your Spirit You’ve breathed Life into us. Father, lead us as You see fit. Father, guide our footsteps so that our feet will not slip. Father, You are our Good Shepherd and we know Your Voice. Another we will not follow.

We are Your sons. We are Your daughters. You have made us in Your image — mold us as You please. Father, guide our feet. Lord, lead our hands. Father, shape our hearts to reflect Yours. Lord, lead our spirit to follow after You. Father, we surrender all to You. For we are Yours. We are Your children. We are Your clay. 

Lead us and we will follow. Father, guide us and we will forever be grateful. For You alone are worthy of all Honor and Glory. For You alone are glorified. We lift Your Name High above our fears. We glorify You high above our failures. We lift You high above our doubts and shortcomings. For You Lord are Worthy. We surrender to You now and forever. You are our Potter and we are Your clay.
