Love God Greatly: EstherSample
In an ideal marriage relationship, a husband will love his wife as Christ loves the church, and a wife will respect her husband. Wives need to feel loved by their husbands just like husbands need to feel valued and respected by their wives. Because king Ahaserus didn't love his wife as he should have, he requested something from her that she did not feel comfortable doing and thus he unlovingly put her in a difficult position--a position that ultimately cost her the crown.
Those of us who are married are called to respect our husbands. It is one way they feel loved by us and appreciated for how they help shepherd our homes. We also must remember that we first must respect God and do what is right in His sight. Obeying God first is always the best decision, even if it costs us our crowns.
Dear God, help me to stand up for what is right, even when I know, the consequences will be harsh. Help me to be a woman who honors you with her life and in her actions. Help me to look to You for protection and provision. Amen.

About this Plan
Esther is an incredible story that reminds us God is always working. From this story, we learn there is no such thing as "coincidence." Though God may seem distant, even absent at times, He is present. God is always with us and at work in our lives, just like He was in Esther's so many years ago.
