Travail

The very depths of God’s heart beckon us with intensity and purpose. We walk with him, listening as he talks about his love for humankind, and we cannot help but be moved by these same longings. No longer do we only think about what he can do for us. Our maturing and unselfish love drives us to share his heart with others.

As we grow in him and become spiritually, emotionally, and physically whole, we want to see others experience equal wholeness. We’re motivated by an intense longing to see more of Christ birthed in the earth. We labor in intercession and in sharing the gospel in order to see others captured by these same holy affections and to see them begin their own glorious Shulamite journey.

Father, give me your heart for those around me who don’t yet know you. Fill me with desire that propels me to run with you as we reach the lost together. Kindle my spirit with fiery love that bows in intercession. Breathe life into their dry bones and heal the wounds of their shattered hearts.
