With all the things that make it easy for us to share our thoughts with the world around us, it’s wise for us to understand an important principle: If you say something mean, people don’t like it! Simple, right? 

God has several things to teach us about how our words can help or hurt the people around us. And while it can be hard to choose the right words all the time, it’s important that we remember what God’s Word has to say about the power our words hold. When we use them for good, lives can be changed for the better. And that’s a pretty big deal!

This week, beaware of all of the words that you hear said to you throughout the day. Take a mental note of the way they make you feel—good and bad—as a reminder of the power of words that you use.
