 WHAT IS YOUR MISSION FIELD?

PRAY:  Dear Father, I want to obey this commandment to go out and make disciples of all nations. I want to share my faith with people, baptize them and teach them about You. And I don't want to forget that You are always with me, to the very end of the age! Thank you for Your promise to be with me, to use me wherever I am, and to show me what my mission field is, so that I can make an eternal difference in this world. Will You show me where to start? Who to reach out to, and what to say? I need You and trust that You will speak through me to the people around me. I pray this in Jesus's mighty name, AMEN. 

REFLECT:  As we spend this week focusing on our mission field, have you thought about what it actually means to be a missionary? Do you have the old fashioned thought that we have to go to some miserable location on the other side of the world, and tell all the people that they are going to hell if they don't believe in Jesus? Or can you think of it as using your gifts and talents in a specific place where God has called you, in order to serve people, while being loving Ambassadors of Jesus along the way? We want to make disciples by pouring into people's lives and investing in their spiritual journeys every day of our lives! Let's live like Jesus so that others can know about Jesus!

ACT:  Right now, take out a piece of paper and write down what you believe your mission field is. Is it your neighborhood, your school, your workplace, or is it somewhere else and you need to move there in order to be in the place God wants you to be? As Christians we are all missionaries, and we should all be discipling people, sharing our faith with others, baptizing people and believing with confidence that God is with us always, to the very end of the age. Know either that you are right where God wants you to be and you can start pouring into other people, or make plans to move to where you know God wants you so that you can get going on living out the plans that He has for you. Remember, He is always with you, so embrace His commandment and define your mission field this very day!
