3 Weapons of a Spiritual WarriorSample
DAY FIVE – Weapon #3: Pray the Word
When we pray God’s Word, we are reminding God of His promises, and we are letting the enemy know we aren’t falling for his tricks. In Luke 4 the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness. And to each temptation Jesus responded with the Word of God, and in the end Satan had to leave Jesus alone.
Knowing the Word will help you in your relationships, your discernment, and your ability to know and hear the voice of God. It will also help you identify your purpose. Your purpose will not be found in running from your call to the Word. Your power and purpose come from praying, fasting, reading God’s Word, and then doing it all over again.
You pray so you can open up a communication with God that is authentic and real. You fast so you can sacrifice and be delivered from what is holding your life and mind hostage. You read the Word of God to keep your spirit anchored in the truth. Reading the Word sharpens your mind, heart, and spirit so you can recognize the tactics the enemy uses so often to tear you down, and you defeat him instead.
You don’t have to stay broken, and you don’t have to be sad. You can do as Esther did and pray, fast, and use God’s Word to reclaim your power and rise up as the ferocious warrior you were designed to be.
That’s right. When you realize ferocious power is within your grasp, you will be able to leap into your destiny just as you were meant to.
