The Hand Of The DiligentSample
The Field of the Slothful.
“I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.” Proverbs 24:30-31 KJV
What are you neglecting? Diligence is purposeful. Diligence requires deliberate execution and intentional focus. Notice, in Proverbs 24:30, the field of the slothful was covered by thorns, and weeds had grown across the field. Diligence requires attention to detail and discipline to correct the neglected areas of your life. What areas have you neglected?
Slothful behavior will cause your house, your dreams and your destiny to shipwreck. A man or woman void of understanding, or one who chooses to stay in a willful state of ignorance will neglect the course of their destiny and not maximize everything that God has planned for them. Therefore get wisdom. Allow God to give you wisdom in everyday matters. Allow God to lead you in business. Allow God to handle your heart and choose not to let the weeds grow in areas where trees and fruit are to thrive and flourish.
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7 KJV Wisdom will produce fruit and guide the work of your hands to feed generations. You cannot allow the weeds of discord, distraction and discouragement to choke your progress. Choose wisdom and get understanding.
If the field of the slothful is covered with weeds and the ground of the man void of understanding is choked by overgrown thorns, then the field of the diligent is blossoming with fruit that nourishes others and blesses generations. His ground (the ground of the diligent) will continually bring forth harvest. What’s in your ground? What’s in your heart? Choose to live a life that’s full of wisdom. Wisdom is a choice. Slothfulness is a decision. You choose.
