Mondo Sample

Matthew was a traitor. He was embarrassed by the choices he had made. He had betrayed his country by collecting taxes (by means of extorting his fellow countrymen) for Rome. Yet Jesus chose him, discipled him, and taught him. Perhaps Matthew was disillusioned with the Jewish National Vision. Maybe he saw how flawed it was because of the infighting factions. Matthew yearned for a true, noble King. Maybe Jesus picked him because of his discontent with the status quo. Matthew has found the Messiah, the one foretold by the Prophets. This is a King he can trust and believe in, and His kingdom will never end!
