Brave during temptations

Jesus is our High Priest and what a comfort it is to know He understands our weaknesses. He is an empathetic Savior. He knows what it’s like to be tempted and tested like we are on a regular basis. This verse tells us that not only is Jesus empathetic, but also that because of this, we are invited to go boldly to the throne of God for mercy and grace. Isn’t that incredible? Jesus is all, “Been there, done that, now let’s go find God’s grace to help you.”

When we are tempted and tried, we can go in confidence to God to be showered in His mercy. We can be brave during temptations knowing that we can overcome with Christ. 

Heavenly Father, thank You for understanding my weakness. Jesus, I’m comforted by Your empathy. Thank You that I can come boldly to the throne of God. Thank You for giving me the strength to overcome temptation. Amen.
