MOTION X: Living In MOTIONSample
Awakening is defined as the act of waking from a sleep. As carriers of the Gospel, we are on mission to see awakening in our world. We believe the name of Jesus is higher than every other name.
In order to see awakening in our world, we must first invite the Holy Spirit to create an awakening in us. We can extend this invitation to the Lord through prayer and fasting.
Prayer is simply our conversation with Jesus. It draws us close to Him and allows us to become more sensitive to His voice. People always say, "Show me your friends, and I will show you your future." Jesus is the perfect friend. He has a future prepared for us that is filled with hope. The more time we spend with Him, the more we will become like Him.
Fasting separates us from the world. If we were going into strict physical training, it would not be enough to eat healthy foods. We must eliminate the junk food from our diet in order to see results. It is the same way in our faith. What we consume directly attributes to what we produce—the music we listen to, the time we spend on social media, the books we read, the shows we watch. Let us draw close to Jesus and invite the Holy Spirit to show us what areas of our lives we need to silence. As the Lord creates an awakening in us, we will see an awakening in our world.

About this Plan
A generation of students who live their faith out day to day would change the world. Living in MOTION starts by learning how God made you, growing in leadership and serving, and by seeing the vision God has for you to make a difference. Living in MOTION was created by Highlands Students, the student ministry of Church of the Highlands to equip students to live every day for Jesus.
