DAY 3: How to Get Wisdom and Discernment

The first strategy in combatting the tactics of the enemy is to use wisdom and discernment. When wisdom and discernment collaborate, you will experience victory. Having discernment to judge well is great; however, using wisdom to know how to respond to what you know is even greater.

Satan wants you to be ignorant of his devices so that your response is powerless. Using wisdom against the enemy will assist you in keeping the ways of the Lord. You will not only hear instructions, but you will listen to and not ignore the voice of the Lord.

Temptation is a trap with what you want wrapped inside. Discernment will allow you to check it out to see if it is good or evil. God will then give you the ability to escape sin; however, it is your decision whether to give in or resist. Maintaining deliverance is a decision. You are given the opportunity to choose between good and evil. Wisdom will instruct you to choose good.

You may wonder how you can have wisdom and discernment. The answer is quite simple: ask for it! If you feel you are lacking in wisdom or discernment, ask for it from the One who delights in giving good gifts to His children.
